MAKE IT: Weaving

Saturday Workshop: Weaving
March 17th (10am-3pm)
Please pack a lunch or you can get take out from one of the many cafes on West Street. (we will take a break for lunch around Noon)

Open to all levels and ages 13+

Create a stylish weaving with Jenny, from Great Blue Fiber, in your chosen colors to match your home decor or style. 

You will create a beautiful wall hanging (10x12) on a loom to take home ready to hang!

Materials provided:
Loom (available for purchase after class for $20)
Cotton warp thread
Tapestry Needle

Please bring:

Yarns in the following weights and something to hang a weaving from. Examples include: copper pipe, wooden dowel, driftwood and should be approximately 12 inches. 
*IF SIGNING UP WITH A FRIEND CONSIDER SHARING YARN TO SAVE MONEY!*

Refer to Diagram in photos to see how each looks in the weaving:

A) light worsted (25grams or 1 oz)
B) light worsted (50 grams or 2 oz)
C) worsted weight in a neutral color (50 grams or 2 oz)
D) light worsted (4 1/2 yards or 4 m)
E) roving 3/4 oz or 20 grams
F) roving yarn ( 1 3/4 or 1.5 m)
G) roving yarn ( 13 inches)

We can provide all the yarn and driftwood for a fee of $15 per person. 
Please let us know ASAP if you want to go with this option. 
Looms will be available after the class for $20 each.
